The Hong Kong Visit

So around early September, the Mike Relm show was brought to Hong Kong. We did a show for a company called Silly Thing who is a f*cking crazy ass collective from HK. They do fashion and animation, they are a record company and they throw cracking ass events. Peep them out when you have the chance. Here is what I saw:

The Silly Thing folks hooked it up with Business Class seats. SICK!

Slippers to rock for the long flight.

Bomb ass flight menu.

Champagne for the ride.

We had a stop over in Taipei. Asian countries know what's up, they got smoking lounges in the airport. How come we don't have that.

Taipei got Hello Kitty bathrooms.

They don't go for the green, they go for the multi color.

HK got a sick ass airport.

Forgot our driver's name. He didn't speak english, but he had our back for the whole trip.

They got us a hotel at the Park Lane Hotel.

First A.P.C. store I ever seen.

$ir Tipp in the middle trying to cross.

I thought it was funny that the middle picture said no drugs in the park and had a cartoon looking picture for heroin. Ha.

So we were on our way to visit the Silly Thing office and apparently, they are beside a couple of model agencies. Here is one of the models walking by. Yeah!

First shot of the Silly thing office with Iron Man chillin.

They got a 3ft. KAWS figure.

They rock dope displays for their store fronts. This one pop up store is for a Japanese brand called Undercover from Japan. Ill Line.

Their office is connected to like about 3 of their stores. Here is one of them.

I forgot the artist's name that did this, but it was full interesting pieces of art. The artist pretty much made plush pieces of popular common items. This one are plush Snicker Bars.

Sick DJ set up. A log that has decks and a mixer carved into it.

A plush bud TREE. Nice!

This part of the office was ill. This is the bottom, a rose garden, and the level on top of it is their workspace.

Did you guys watch the new Batman? Well this is the building where Batman jumped off to fly to another building to fuck up some bad guys.

There's the other building.

Mike and $ir Tipp Soundcheckin.

The venue was dope as fuck. The stage faced a view to their bay.

Here are 2 folks from the Silly Thing crew that took care of us. Homie on the right is Y, cool dude and homegirl is Sarah and she was mad nice with hooking us up with grub and drank.

Where we at on the Bolds? Hong Kong been having it.

After soundcheck, the Silly Thing Crew, invited us to try authentic Hong Kong food.

The dude with the suit in the Picture is TK, the Silly Thing founder, and he rolled the turntable to me so I can try some chicken feet. Never tried it before until that moment. I thought I was going to gag, but it was nothing, it honestly "tastes like chicken."

These dudes were cool as hell. They didn't speak eglish so our conversations were kept to a low, but these dudes became our drinking buddies. I got mad wasted chillin with these guys. The dude on the left represents Undercover from Japan and the dude in the middle represents a Japanese jewelry brand called Jam Home Made.

More homegirls from the Silly Thing Crew.

The Silly Thing folks.

Another shot of the building Batman ripped shop at.

Getting drunk with the Japanese homie.

The dude with the mic is a Huge Hong Kong artist called Juno. This dude was mad cool. He showed us a couple of his music videos, short films, tracks, and upcoming music he did.

Juno and his girl.

Getting plastered with Y.

After the show, we were tired as hell, but this was my first time in Hong Kong and I sure as hell didn't want to sleep and bounce. I made sure we at least partied before we left. This was an elevator to a pool spot that one of the creators of rottentomatoes.com, Patrick took us to. Yeah Rotten Tomatoes. SICK!

We gambled shots during one game. $ir Tipp and I lost and we decided to buy the folks some Henn. Amazingly, some of the folks never had Henn. So they were surprised by the creeping factor of this drink. Haha

Are we the only country with a 21+ drinking age?

Headed out to the next spot.

What a street.

Peace out driver.

Back fucking home. My final thoughts: I wanna go back and explore more. I never knew Hong Kong was hot as fuck. And lastly, thanks to Silly Thing for giving us a good fucking time!
