This is how my January 20th 2009 went.
J Boo wakes me up at 7:30am because we decided to peep out the civic center to catch the inauguration speech at 9am.
Got Off Bart and found some merch.
Got there right on time as Obama just got sworn in. Civic center was crackin.
After, we saw a bunch of girls starting to celebrate with morning mimosas. J Boo and I decided to get loaded too. The initial plan was to hit up a liquor store on Larkin and meet back at the Civic Center, but we ended up drinking at Soluna Lounge. After shouting and cheering, I said "Hey, I haven't been to World of Stereo in a hella long time, let's peep it out." World of stereo was the spot where I bought my first DJ mixer. I nabbed a vestax 06-pro there about 10 years ago. We left the shop with good advice as they told us that you can use video on serato without the TTM 57 Mixer now with the latest serato update. So any DJs reading this, peep that out if you are interested, sh*t, I want to try it.
Striked it down Market to see more sights and sounds. Here are some Obama shirts that are pretty strong.
Made it to Yerba Buena to see how their Obama party was doing. Even though this picture sucks, there was still a lot of folks chillin on the lawn watching the big screen.
Picked up ENOCH at Skyline and headed out to Oakland for the radio show. Peep out this view from Skyline College. SICK!
After the Radio show, as well as partying and drinking at PST. We made it to 7/11 and saw that they were all about the hype too with Barack Obama Slurpee Cups. How RI$KY.
What a great day for History! I'm glad I woke up, soaked it all in, raged, raged, and reflected. Nice!
