A shout out to the DMZ Comic.

Yeah, I saw that Slamxhype was talking about the comic book DMZ by Brian Wood. I just wanted to reiterate that this is a dope ass comic book. A couple of years ago, Cee Rock and I worked at this job near a comic book store and for a hot one, got back into comic books. J Boo actually referred me to read DMZ.

I won't get too much into it but the visuals and the stories are stunning. I remember there is one scene where all the trees in Central Park were all cut down so people can use it as fire wood in winter. Another part of the story is that the US military just shoots at anything and their angle is that the people on Manhattan are rebels and not American. Basically they show Manhattan as if it was in Iraq or something, using visuals of NYC as a war zone. The main storyline that is being portrayed is that main stream news is justifying the military's abuse while the main character, a journalist, is producing independent stories in the front line and speakin the real truth. The Art and Writing are on point. Big Ups.
